Student recruitment campaign for the Griffith College Dublin in Germany

Project category:

Recruiting German students

Project duration:
09/2007 – 08/2008

Goals of the Project:
Boosting student enrolment at the Griffith College Dublin from Germany.

Project description:
After a first meeting in May 2007, Griffith College Dublin, the leading independent college in Ireland requested an intake-boosting full-degree student recruitment campaign in Germany from which the number of full-degree seeking students had always been lower than 5 per year.

The project contained several different marketing channels, a full-blown 20-page German-language website (www.griffith-college.de), marketing material in German for two Study Tryout Days to be held in Dublin distributed to teachers in 1,500 German secondary schools, a tour to 20 secondary schools in Southern and Western Germany and the participation in 3 education fairs in 2008.

The project was carried out from September 2007 until August 2008 and lead to 62 visiting German students on the campus in Dublin from February 2008 to June 2008 in two Study-Tryout Days as well as one visiting group of school students in June 2008. It also bolstered the interest of German students over the internet where the ranking of Germany as one of the main markets for internet visitors has been increased and strengthened. The final result was about 15 to 20 full-degree applications and around 10 final candidates that made it to Ireland.
